((Hey guys! So I noticed that there are few of us apprentices in AshClan. This is a thread for the apprentices to sort of get to know each other. ))
The wind billowed softly, and the birman apprentice appreciated its cool surface moving over her fur. She stopped in her tracks, in the middle of the camp, and closed her eyes, sighing as it moved its hands soothingly over her body. Her breath was carried by it, and her incredible blue eyes opened to find herself in the camp again. Yet what a sanctuary it was, to any cat who needed it. It was her home now, and she couldn't have chosen better.
Walking slowly, the peaceful Gracefulpaw looked around the camp for one of the apprentices to play with. She spotted none of them, so she simply sat in the middle of camp, her blue eyes wandering. Looking up and squinting in the brilliant sunlight, she saw the ember mountain looming above the entire camp. It took her breath away, and the she-cat was still amazed. She wanted to climb up to the tallest peak of that mountain and look down at the world below her, but she knew it'd be dangerous. She'd just have to wait until she was old enough. Then she'd go on all of the adventures she wanted.
Spotting a leaf floating aimlessly nearby, the she-cat smiled and lashed her tail playfully. Pouncing over, she waved her tail, her slender body moving gracefully as she walked. Then, with a smooth and easy pounce, she was on the leaf. It was scratched under her paws, but she couldn't pretend she killed it. Sighing, she let it go, allowing it to dance in the wind before she danced herself.
Twirling, twirling, around she went. Gracefulpaw danced under the sun, not bothering to care who watched her. It was her favortie hobby, and she knew it always would be. She's a ballerina, up she goes... she thought, remembering the words as her mother would say to them. Or, at least she assumed it was her mother. All she remembered was a female voice, strong, and the words came to her in her vivid dreams. She can dance, watcher her twirl... up she goes, up she goes. Over the mountains, she can fly. She's a ballerina, up she goes. Up she goes, up she goes...

should i give up? or should i just keep on chasing pavements? curled up in her nest, in the apprentice den, Dapplepaw opened up her eyes. blinking away the sleep, she thought that she had slept enough and it was time to start to day. yawning, the she cat got up to stretch. her body went long, and skinny as her plush fur fluffed out. yawning once more, she leaped out of her warm nest. feeling the coldness that the earth had compared to her nest. rolling her greenish blue eyes, she stepped outside of the den. staring around, she saw Gracefulpaw. smiling, as she watched the female cat dance around, it amused the little cat. sitting down, she wrapped her tail around her paws as she watched her dance. She was true to her name, Graceful at that. After
awhile, the shecat got up herself and went to the other apprentice. Hello, Gracefulpaw! She mewed, rubbing herself up against the tan colored cat's body in a welcoming manner. Dapplepaw, didn't know her very well but it was not hurting her by rubbing up next to her. hopefully she wouldn't react crazily and take it okay. purring, she sat down next to her friend. Whatcha doin'? she purred, as she licked her paw and ran it over he ear. grazing up, to look at her clan mate, she scanned around over the camp. no one was around, and that was kind of boring but that was okay. Maybe it was a waste waking up... Thought Dapplepaw, with a bored look on her face.

Carrying a plump vole the spotted apprentice stepped towards the the group of Gracefulpaw and Dapplepaw, nodding a greeting to each he lowered his body, ripping into the fresh-kill happily. Easternsky had had him hunting most of the morning, and while he was not exactly the hardest working apprentice he did not have to be, right? He was the quickest cat in the clan, or at least out of the apprentices, the best hunter, the best at chasing rabbits, out of the apprentices. The thought made him flick his tail in happiness. "How you are both today?" he asked Gracefulpaw and Dapplepaw. He was being rather polite, not that the cat was not, he just had his own agenda. The tom had aspirations, although he might be different than the others in his clan, look different and act different he wanted to be deputy, to hold the power Easternsky did and hopefully with her as his mentor he could learn more from her than with any other.
Lifting a paw he winced, noticing the cracked pad from the rough terrain and hunting. Licking it he winced as the warmth went to cold quickly. Annoyance flickered in him. When would his pads toughen? Perhaps he had been born into another clan, a clan with leaner cats as he looked to the other cats in the clan with their thick fur and wider paws, things he did not have. While he had bulked up for Leaf-bare, with a thicker coat and his muscle developing, he did not look like the others. And he was reminded of it everyday, with his odd spotted coat, its golden base and black spots, and the black color as it went up as accent points around his eyes and the mostly black tail with golden rings and his lean body structure. No matter, he was an Aschlan cat at heart, no matter his birth.
