CREEKTWiST Waking up at dawn the deputy had organized a hunting patrol and had decided to lead the border patrol for himself, but since he had enough of his clan mates with him he didn't need to call upon his recently named apprentice to join them. He was by no means a soft mentor as he wanted to get the best he possibly could out of the future warriors of his clan but he had decided that it was maybe a little uncalled for if he was to wake the young apprentice up at such an early time on his first day of training. Being slightly kinder than some of his clan mates he would give the young tom, Ternpaw, a little bit of warning to mentally prepare himself for an early start. It made perfect sense to start his training fairly simple and increase the intensity as time went on.
Anyway, after an uneventful border patrol which was always a good sign, as boring as it had been it meant that the clan currently had nothing to worry about which was always something he wanted being Icestar's second in command. He had returned to camp just in time for th hunting patrol also returning and he and the clan mates on the patrol had all taken a small piece of prey for their hard work and had shared tongues while they waited for the rest of the clan to come to life, this had included his apprentice Ternpaw. The thought of asking Ternpaw to meet him at Snakepath had crossed his mind but since it would be their first session he had decided that it would be better if the two met in camp and walked to their training spot for the day together. Maybe in the future he would be able to rely on the young tom to meet him outside of camp without them traveling together.
Getting to his paws and saying farewells to his fellow warriors he padded over to the apprentices den and called out for his apprentice. "Ternpaw, you have already had a lie in, it's time to start your training, unless you don't want to become a warrior." He meowed with a stern but slightly teasing tone and he sat down with his tail wrapped over his paws while he waited for his apprentice to join him.
