RAPIDRAIN
Fated paw steps breathe into my life
Is my life worth that much?
Fated paw steps breathe into my life
Is my life worth that much?
Paws scurried past the the winding floor and rocks. Water seeped above the ground with an intesnifying touch. A soft breeze made the water ripple with life, and the flash of a paw, water spewered out of the deepening depths. A cold slippering being was flown out of the waters, and quickly as it had come out, snatched by maw twice its size. Rapidpaws gaze fell to it, back between the fash and her paws. Small drops of fish blood fell from where she bit into it, and immediately she could taste the foul creature in her jaws. She dropped it quickly and backed up with a ponce to the ground. Nasty, she thought shaking her head getting rid of the smell and its horrid taste. She thought it would have been a bit better then that, it was a living creature like others. She sighed, after trying so hard earlier and catching not one, she thought it to e better.
Catching her breath she shook the water off some of her pelt and licked her paws, seemingly happy that it covered most of the taste she felt before. It own taste and figure proved that Voles were here best meal. For now, with the little skills she had, she would try for a catch of one of the those. Even with her small skills she could catch one of those brutes. Satysified, she dropped her paw and stood up, her tail high in the air and her own thoughts wavering with it. Even with the stone cold fish dead at the rocks, and the foul taste, she would be able to rid of it. Catching the leaves and the dust, she grew a bit closer to camp to burn time, her mentor might be angry she was out for so long instead of training. Closing in she breathed in the air, and smelled the scents of surrounding auras of life. Trees vast in size drove many scents away, but she couldn't miss the deep smells of Thrush not to far away. Her body felt the instincts drive itself in. Her now motionless eyes directed upon the ground, descending upon the vast creature. She stepped forward, quickly and powerfully, ready to near her pouncing state of motion. Her huanches pushed back and her momentum springing past the grass. Her body quickly fell upon the Thrush, swiftly. Just as she hit the ground, her balance miss stepped and she felt her self fall sideways against the ground. Fustration deepened her pelt and her glowing claws gripped the tree limb in front of her. She quickly got up, breathless and angry over her mistake. She shook her fur, and steadily walked to camp.
She had at least caught something for the clan, she would not go with dissapointment. Smoothing out her path she quickly walked to camp, kicking up quit leaves and broken twigs. Twice she stepped on broken branches and felt her paws ssink into the ground. She quickly fell upon the camp, heading striaght to the pile with her kill. She dropped it and gave her paw a lick wondering if any of the cats would notice her first catch alone. Maybe her mentor would come by, or maybe another cat. She half expected to see another Apprentice come, proud her her kill. She purred gracefully, she would love to hear those words and to see that she was progressing well. She sat and awaited for others to come.
