SHOW US YOUR BEASTS!
here's a place where you can show us your pets and tell us their funny quirks or a funny story about them. just post it here. =]
i have eight pets, two dogs, a guinea pig, and five cats. care to meet them?
piper!
piper would be my baby girl, a german shepherd x doberman mixture that i got when she was four months old and her ears wouldn't stand up straight. her hobbies would include things like trying to see how far she can push me off my bed before i actually fall, playing with her tennis ball for hours on end, running around the yard, and sniffing things. she enjoys sleeping under the covers with her head on the pillows, and doesn't particularly like to get up early. she also has toothless' personality, or more, toothless has her personality.
fiona!
fiona is my mom's dog who is the sweetest thing on the planet. she is a black lab x border collie mix and is nothing but tongue and paws. her skin doesn't really stick to her skeleton, so my family and i enjoy moving it around. she licks everything, all the time, and doesn't stop. rather than sleeping up with the people, she prefers the foot of the bed, generally curled up with what ever cat will let her lick them. her toenails also grow unusually quickly. but her face is just one that shows undying trust and love.
avalanche!
my dad's cat, the 30 lb pink wonder of the world. he is very sweet and gentlemanly when he wants to be, but if he's in a bad mood he will leave a scar running from your hand to your elbow. i got him back in 2001, when he was a teeeeeny tiny kitten with a little blue collar around his neck and no owner. as he grew, he got meaner, and would make it where if i wanted to go through the living room, i had to have a pillow to smack him with. no, mr. lavalanche is my valentine every year and will curl up with me and watch movies. . . so he's my sweet little cat, who i really want to dye purple.
millie!
millicent is a strange cat, she was thrown out of a car window and spent the night in a tree through a horrible storm and was thought to be dead the next morning when my neighbour found her, but when i held her as we were walking around trying to find her owner, she opened her eyes. i've had her ever since, and she has been my loving cat for 10 years now. for some reason, over the last few years, she hasn't wanted to be around anyone, but all of a sudden, this year, she has insisted on being in the way. like, on my keyboard, on my head, in my shirt. . . things like that, and insists on being petted. but the strangest thing with millie, is that she chirps, i've never heard her meow, she just chirps, and my whole family has figured out that chirp, so we now talk to her.
kit!
kit would be our calico craze-ball. found in a tire rut in a back alley, we brought her home and a few months later, she gave birth to three little kittens. now, she is still fairly small, but she has spunk to beat everyone, and all in all, while kit isn't afraid to fight, she is still very sweet and will purr like a motor boat if given the chance. just don't make her daughter come near her, they have an odd relationship.
ethel!
an odd duck. that is pretty much all that describes miss ethel. a maine coon born and raised, she is actually quite small. she also has elevator music playing through her head, enjoys licking the oven, staring into walls, and getting locked in cabinets. she has no sense of self-preservation and just wants to be curled up against avalanche. but the fluff ball that she is seems to be boneless, because she is something of a rag doll. but she is still rather sweet, once you actually get near enough to notice that.
sophia!
her serene highness princess sophia of denmark, yes, that is her full name. she's a fat princess of the house who just wants to be queen. a snob through and through, she expects to be worshiped and have everything her way, needless to say, few of the other cats like her around them, including her mother, kit. although they do have their mother daughter moments occasionally, for the most part they just stay away from each other.
yoda!
yoda-pig! my guinea pig. i got him this past summer from my elementary school, and while my mom wants to call him robert duvall, his name is totally yoda. he is a sweet little piggy, he'll whistle and talk to you through the night and give you little piggy kisses.
well, those be dawn's beasts, the whole assortment of them. =] now, what are yours? [/blockquote][/blockquote]
