Why do you shun me for who I am?
FOR I AM Moonstar of the great FrostClan
Age 5 years - 60 moons Gender She-cat Rank Auditioning for leader
How can I hide in the shadows of the unknown?
WHEN MY PELT IS silver and my eyes are blue
Scars
Moonstar has several scars that she has earned through out her sixty moons. One of them is located on her flank, from where the fox had pierced her with its claws when she had been an apprentice. Thankfully, it is hidden by her thick silver fur and is barely noticeable, especially during leaf-bare. She has several others scars as well from when she fought in battles during her warriorhood, such as the one on the tip of her left ear, on her belly, and a long one running down the length of her back hind leg. Moonstar is proud of all of these scars, for each one symbolizes honor and courage.
Appearance
Moonstar is a stunning cat, and many have marveled at how this is so. She possesses a gorgeous silver fur coat that grows thicker during the long moons of leaf-bare, and becomes sleek and shiny during new-leaf. Her body is small, but not unusually so - in battle many tend to underestimate her due to her size, but they are quickly caught off guard. Her build is slender and agile, and like most cats she is extremely graceful. Lastly, her eyes are a bright, sapphire blue, which can cut straight through you like a fierce claw. Her eyes are the most distinctive part of her whole body - one flash of them can send a full grown warrior trembling from his head to his paws. Overall, she is not a cat to mess with that is for certain, for despite her soft, dainty appearance, within she is a cat that should be feared.
Why do you judge me for what I’ll become? JUST BECAUSE I’M clever AND reserved
Personality
Moonstar is well, an interesting character. If ever you heard of Yellowfang, she is a younger version of the spunky old she-cat. Her leadership duty is very important to her, and she vowed from the very beginning that she would serve her Clan exceptionally well. Moonstar I must say is very clever and quick with her knowledge. She is not a cat that is usually lost for words. Rarely will you ever see her stumped because she always seems to have something interesting to say. She can be very moody at times. If you say something against her opinion she has the wistful ability to quickly prove you wrong. She knows what is best for her clan mates, and she never does hesitate to do what she think is best. In fact, she cares for all of her clan mates, and that is one of the main reasons as of why she is always so tough on them.
Another interesting trait of Moonstars is that she never truly shows her feelings. She is very reserved, and so her thoughts and feelings are often blocked. Since most of her litter mates died before she could get to know them, she isn’t use to confiding in others and so whenever one wants her to confide in them she usually snaps at them to go away, even though deep inside she’s dying to do so. She doesn’t understand friendship, in a way, since most of her life she was always training to become a future leader . She is shy actually, when it comes to her inner being, but she will never admit that to anyone. She is very strong at heart, even though she is shy deep down, and will always stand up for what she believes in. She’s good with her clan when they are in need of her help, but when it comes to friendship, she shies away like a deer caught in headlights. Moonstar is never at a loss with words and she tends to sound cruel, but she is only trying to get her clan mates to understand. If she hurts you with her words, she probably most of the time does not mean it. She is not a heartless cat like many often think, despite her constant cold demeanor.
As I've mentioned before, Moonstar has a sharp tongue, and one would not doubt her words once she has said them. She has such strong will and determination that if ever a cat doubted her loyalty, they would be signing their death wish. And even though she has a fierce tongue, she doesn't get in many bad temperaments as one would expect. She has a playful mood as well, but rarely does she ever show that. And one would think she wasn't passionate either - but look deep down in those sapphire orbs of hers and one would find out that that isn't true. She dreams of one day falling in love, but whenever a tom feels fond towards her she feels insecure and then becomes very defensive. Its hard to get past that tough shell of hers, but once you do you won't regret it. Because within those deep, fiery depths, she has a brilliant heart of gold.

History
[x]Kittenhood[x]
Moonkit was born a kit within FrostClan, and she will die a loyal cat of FrostClan once it is her time to join the ranks of StarClan. The moment she was born a kit by her mother, Maplestream, and her father, Ravenwing, two of the most loyal warriors of FrostClan, the whole Clan new she would be a cat to be proud of. She was fully spirited the moment she was born - with that sparkling silver pelt and spunky little attitude; not one cat doubted that she'd be loyal to her Clan to the end. She was always very playful during her kithood, and was quite a handful - it took more than her mother and father to handle her, and she got in trouble more than she could count. But every cat in FrostClan adored her.
[x]Apprenticeship[x]
When it was her time to be made an apprentice, more than half of the warriors were eagerly anticipating her ceremony in hopes to be her mentor and transform her into a great warrior of FrostClan. She received a good, loyal warrior to be her mentor, and he taught her all that he knew and more. Not one day passed in her apprenticeship that she didn't learn something significant or valuable in her training, and she kept it all in mind. She wanted to be the greatest warrior of FrostClan - or close to it. One time when she was about nine moons old, she caught the scent of a baby fox on their territory. A patrol was with her, but she was the first one to scent it. She was foolish enough to slip away without them noticing, and when she ran face-to-face with the fox, they battled hard and ferociously. In the end Moonpaw ended up winning, chasing the fox off FrostClan's territory in a fierce yowl of triumph. When she came back with many scratches but no major wounds, the patrol was waiting, and they thought it a sign from StarClan that she would be a great, strong warrior one day. And to this day, they were right.
[x]Warriorship[x]
A moon after the fox incident she was made into a warrior, finally, and her parents and her mentor stood proudly in the sidelines as she took her warrior name - Moonfire. That had been the greatest day of her life, and the proudest, or so she thought. Moonfire was proud to be called a loyal warrior of FrostClan. She hunted for her clan every day, and because she was so good at it, often asked to lead the patrols. She also received an apprentice - even before the other warriors who had not yet been given one. She felt guilty for awhile, because she knew it hadn't been fair for them, but once she started training her apprentice she couldn't have been happier. Her apprentice was very spirited and lively, just like she had been, so they got along well. The day it was her turn to sit and watch her apprentice be turned into a warrior, she couldn't have been prouder. She felt even more happier than when she herself had been turned a warrior. Honestly, she didn't think anything could get any better. She was so happy within FrostClan, where she felt like she truly belonged.
[x]Deputyship[x]
It was one stormy, fateful day that the current deputy of FrostClan died from a border fight. AspenClan had been frequently trying to steal prey from their side of the border, so when AspenClan had the audacity to do it again, FrostClan didn't think twice about attacking. Moonfire was beside her deputy, fighting bravely side by side when she saw him get murdered right before her eyes. She had wanted to help, had planned to help, but there had been two warriors on her at once and if she had stopped fighting for just a moment she would've been dead too. Moonfire fought strongly with both her heart and claws; it was no doubt she would give up her life for her Clan, and it was no surprise when the leader announced Moonfire as the next deputy. The moment she was chosen, her eyes lit up with such a passionate fire that the whole Clan knew she had always wanted this from the start of when she had been but a kit. It had been her dream, and now it had finally came true. She could finally serve her clan as deputy, and serve it well she did.
[x]Leadership[x]
Twelve moons later, FrostClan had found badgers living in a cave outside of their camp. With the approval of her leader, Moonfire had sent out a large patrol to get rid of them. But it was too late, for badgers had already started to attack their camp. The camp was soon in the midst of chaos. Moonfire and her warriors were fighting as hard as they could, but not one noticed a badger slip into the leaders den. Soon, FrostClan was able to drive all of the badgers out of their territory, but not before several deaths and many injuries occurred. After Moonfire sent a patrol to check and see if the badgers had truly left FrostClan's territory, she went to check on her leader. She found her lying sprawled out on the den floor, dead. The badger had killed her with one mighty strike of his claw. When the patrol came back Moonfire broke the news, and FrostClan was left to grieve by their former leader's side. The next day, Moonfire went to the moonpool and there she received her nine lives. She was now Moonstar, and with the strength of StarClan by her side, she will rule and make FrostClan strong.

Once she had made it inside her cool, dark den, Moonstar sat down inside her nest and wrapped her tail neatly around her two front paws. It took a couple moments for her eyes to get accustomed to the darkness, and when they did she could see Wolfgaze clearly, his bright golden eyes gazing directly at her as he began to speak. 'Eh, just about my den. Don't take it out on whoever did it, the floor of my den gets slippery and when you're in a hurry, it wouldn't have been hard to knock everything down.' Nodding in understanding, Moonstar replied thoughtfully, "That may be true, but I need to know the reason of why they were in there in the first place. Warriors or apprentices shouldn't go snooping around there without a perfectly good reason." Moonstar was a fair leader, meaning that she gave consequences when necessary, and usually only when they were appropriate. Never did she wish to give injustice decisions to any of her clan mates, no matter the circumstances. However, she had learned through out her moons of being a leader that sometimes, you had to do what you knew was right, not what you thought was wrong.
'Icepaw's run out to go get us the herbs we need to fix up the new edition and that idiot of a best friend of mine. When he get's back i'll fix them up so they can get some rest.' Moonstar flicked her ears in approval, and then blinked at Wolfgaze warmly as he flicked his tail against her shoulder in what she knew to be an affectionate gesture. As he continued to speak, she nodded every once and while, and once he was finished she blinked at him thoughtfully before mewing, "Yes, you may bring Yarrowfur and Rushpaw with you, but make sure you take an extra warrior, just in case. Spidertail, perhaps? And while your out collecting herbs, make sure there's not any new scents around. I don't trust those loners to stick to their territories anymore than the other clan's do." A sudden thought crossed her mind and she added, "Oh, and once you have returned, send Rushpaw to my den. There is a few words I wish to have with her."
Moonstar's piercing sapphire eyes flickered warily when she noticed the smirk appearing on her friend's face. 'And you did well today, first time for actually accepting ne cat eh?' Purring softly, Moonstar shook her head as well and mewed teasingly to her old friend, "I swear I thought StarClan was playing some sort of trick on me. Never in all my moons have I ever thought a loner would actually want to join a Clan, let alone mine. Usually they are all stuck in their ways." Her tone turned more serious as she added, "However, this one I knew to be different, which is partially why I accepted her. Not only does she have the strength to become a worthy warrior of FrostClan, but she has the heart to become one as well, and that is a true characteristic to behold." Moonstar continued to purr, and after a long, thoughtful moment, she mewed lastly, and with conviction, "I knew you were surprised as well when I named Tigerfeather her mentor. But trust me, Wolfgaze my old friend, I have my reasons. I am the leader, after all. I do what I know is best, and nothing less."
