The sun was beating down on her with heat as they continued traveling to AshClan Camp. 'This is taking forever! I'm starving!!!"' She complained inwardly her amber eyes searching the terrain for any sign of the camp. Leopardpaw was leading her at a leisurely pace and all Lostpaw wanted to do was run there! Then she could meet her family and just feel like she accomplished her goal. Kicking a rock as they walked she stared at the ground, however her ear flicked and her attention was turned elsewhere.
The sound of other cats around she was sure of it! However she wasn't sure where they were...the scent of others came after making her flinch. It was so different then what she was used to, however she would get use it since this would be her home now. Leopardpaw had led her into camp and she looked around, This was really different! These cat's didn't live in Two-leg made structures like those of SoulClan, She thought everyone did! No one must of noticed her yet since they must be continuing their morning duties so why not make it easier for them to notice her?
Flicking her tail she lifted her head high and and proud. "Hello! My name is Lostpaw!" she mewed at least loud enough for any cat near them to hear her, that may not of been the smartest thing do do but Lostpaw wasn't exactly the smartest cat of all time...

COALDUST Dry bracken, brown and crisp from an unfortunate lack of sunlight, crunched underpaw as the smoky-gray she-cat breezed through camp, wincing at every sound. Aren't AshClanners supposed to be silent? she thought irritably, shaking the remains of a dried frond out from in between her velvety pads and glancing furtively towards the warrior's den. The warriors of AshClan were, of course, trained to be silent, but everybody could have a bad day, right? Right? Either way, the she-cat didn't want Lionfur, her old mentor, to see her like this - Coaldust flinched at the very thought - so she quickly sidled away from the den, and consequently, out of sight.
The young warrior let out a sigh of relief; for a moment there, she could of sworn that she had seen a flash of her mentor's - um, former mentor's - telltale golden pelt. Hmm - must of been her imagination. Coaldust let out a low growl at this prospect. Did all newly-made warriors experience this? It was as if she was so shocked and pleased, the she-cat hadn't fully accepted her new position, no matter how wonderful it was. Whatever - she'd get used to it. Just like she'd get used to living without her sister...
Coaldust shook her head rapidly, trying to clear away her depressing thoughts, then focused bleary eyes on an apprentice before her. She... the she-cat blinked, then sniffed the air. She had never seen this apprentice before. How is this possible? the warrior wondered, narrowing a pair of blue-gray eyes in confusion. The black she-cat most certainly looked like an AshClanner, but the repulsive scent of SoulClan seemed to cling to her like a shroud of foul-smelling mist. Coaldust parted her jaws, ready to ask the apprentice who she was, but stopped. The dark apprentice could speak for herself. And she did.
"Hello!" she crowed loudly, as if attempting to announce her presence to the entire clan. "My name is Lostpaw!"
Lostpaw? What an unusual name... Then again, AshClan had that little scrap called Lifekit, so she was one to talk... Coaldust shook her head in bewilderment, then padded up closer to the young she-cat, lips curled into a friendly, but confused grin. "Where are you from, little one?" she purred, hoping the nickname 'little one' wouldn't offend the apprentice - some cats could get pretty touchy these days. Dark brow raised, Coaldust tilted her head in an inquisitive gesture. "Where's your mother?"

Had been standing beside the she-cat, waiting to see Easternsky or Breezestar to introduce the newcomer to them before the clan had a heart attack. He looked over to her, ensuring there was some distance between them as he licked a paw, running it over his ears to clean them. He might not be the most responsible apprentice in the clan, but he did pride himself on his looks, particularly his amazing spotted coat. He truly felt like he looked like a leopard, not a normal cat. He supposed he should someday thank Easternsky for his name, assuming he gets a good warrior name.
He had been about to explain a few things of Ashclan to her, when Coaldust seemed to magically appear. She seemed as curious about Lostpaw as he had been. When the she-cat announced herself and who she was, he felt like slapping his paw against his face. Not how he would have greeted an enemy clan. Regardless of what she says, she was raised by a Soulclan cat, an enemy clan. She apparently marched to her own drummer, not a bad thing, just too much for him. His gaze flitted around patiently waiting for some cat of authority to come over and greet them.
As Coaldust spoke he took a side step, making sure to give enough room. "She claims her mother is an Ashclan cat, but she was raised by a Soulclan she-cat,"he said to clear some things up. Happily he mused no cat had questioned him and why he was wandering around with the she-cat. A purr nearly rose in his throat. Perhaps this could turn in his benefit after all, maybe once she got over her flirtatiousness around him, they could be friends. She certainly had no inhibitions, he gave her that.

There were little to no boarder quarrels, the prey seemed to be coming back decently, and Breezestar was about and about doing his normal runs. The sun was shining in a powder blue sky and a fresh breeze blew across the tree tops making it sound like waves on a beach. This soothed the tri-colored she-cat’s nerves immensely! It was nice not to have to worry about naughty apprentices, and disobedient warriors. She liked not having to raise her voice.
Easternsky lay in a sunny part of the camp, soaking up the sun while it was out. The evening was going to be lovely, she could just feel it in her bones. Easternsky let a sigh escape from her lips, and she lay her head down on ground. Her tail twitched in satisfaction. By luck a fresh breeze flew through the camp with the scents of the forest. Nothing would disturb her! Nothing! Until she scented someone, or something, she didn’t recognize…
Sitting up, Easternsky looked around the camp. There was nothing of interest until her green eyes spotted a few cats fathering by the entrance. Sniffing the air she recognized the scent of SoulClan, and the hair on her neck began to stand up. is a SoulClan cat doing here? We aren’t holding any of their cats as prisoners! She thought frantically. Quickly she made her way to the entrance.
“Coaldust, Leopardpaw,” Easternsky dipped her heat in greeting, “What’s going on here?” She looked at the third cat with a calm expression, even though she was panicking inside. She hadn’t caught the name. “Who is this, Leopardpaw?” She looked at her apprentice expectantly. He was growing into a fine young warrior, it was almost time for his warrior ceremony, “Where did you find her?”

Stood there proudly as if she could care less of what anyone thought, which she didn't. Resting her bottom down she looked at the approaching smokey gray cat her Amber gaze curiously wandering from the She-cats eyes to her tail, she was a dark she-cat could they be related? Maybe! Before Lostpaw could say anything the gray she-cat in front of her spoke and Lostpaw grew excited.
"Where are you from, little one? Where's your mother?"
Lostpaw took no notice to the nickname, after all she was more interested in the she-cat. Getting ready to speak Lostpaw opened her mouth however her words didn't come out first. Throwing her amber gaze at the spotted tom she huffed gently, he beat her to it.
"She claims her mother is an Ashclan cat, but she was raised by a Soulclan she-cat,"
Rolling her eyes Lostpaw shook her fur gently and flicked her tail. Amber eyes moving back to the Gray she-cat. Lifting her head up high she opened her mouth once more to speak. "I don't just claim she is here!" she said confidently "I know she is here! Why else would i come!" She was all kinds of wound up, ready to meet this family she dreamed about, she would have a mother, and a father and sisters and brothers! Oh one big happy family!

“She claims her mother is an Ashclan cat, but she was raised by a Soulclan she-cat."
Leopardpaw. Like a pair of blue-gray discs, the she-cat's gaze swept over the apprentice, foggy, but a bit clearer than it was before. Huh. She snorted, prompting the short fur that delicately lined her muzzle to bristle, then smirked. Despite all appearances, it wasn't a spiteful gesture; more of a 'well, what do you know' than anything else. So this one's with you, eh?
Shaking her head in mild embarrassment, the warrior sank to her sturdy, lithely-muscled haunches, nose wrinkled and ears flattened sheepishly. Mousebrain, she wanted to hiss, but for the sake of her own reputation, refrained - instead, she was simply torn between mentally kicking herself, and literally swiping a paw across her own face. Although he had been standing right next to the black she-cat, Coaldust hadn't even noticed Leopardpaw; and with his flashy bengal pelt, that was an unusual occurrence.
A flash of doubt clouded her mind. Were her senses growing that dull? You aren't getting any sharper, that's for sure... Oh, forget it. She hadn't been getting enough sleep lately - yes, that was it, and that could easily be fixed. The warrior was kidding herself, she knew, but a little white lie to her own face wasn't going to hurt anything. In fact, it could actually make things better. After repeating this to herself a few more times, the gray she-cat looked up as Lostpaw turned back to her, head held high.
"I don't just claim she is here!" the she-cat said confidently "I know she is here! Why else would i come!"
"Unless she's a malicious SoulClan spy that's ready to take down AshClan all by herself, the kit has a point," Coaldust purred, eying Leopardpaw with an unusually good-humored grin. "Taking her to see the queens wouldn't hurt, would it? Maybe one of them will recognize her. It'll be the quickest way to get things settled." She spoke in a matter-of-fact voice, as if anyone who dared challenge her was a complete and utter idiot - she probably believed that, too. The she-cat smirked, then, with a bored tone, added, "Unless, of course, you would rather tell Breezestar..."
