He paused, sitting back onto his hindquarters to rear up, surveying his environment. Yawning, the rat moved forward again, pushing through the snow until he reached the acorns underneath. Jemini blinked as he gnawed on one of the better-looking acorns, recalling just how he'd gotten here. With a shiver, he dropped the acorn and trotted on, leaping up onto a tree root, in case some wandering warrior mistook him for prey. Dustwhisker never would, of course, but any other warrior would, definitely. Probably because they didn't even know about him... Shaking off the light dusting of snow that had fallen on him, Jemini dove forward, a puff of snow flying up as he hit it. He burrowed beneath and came out with several more acorns, hopping back up onto his root to nibble at the dried nut meats inside. After quite a while, the black-and-white rat curled up on the root, falling asleep fairly quickly. His stomach was full and his fur was clean, his long black tail curled up around him. Dreams filled his mind... Scrabbling up and down trees to toughen your muscles; starving yourself so that you wouldn't be considered fat enough to eat quite yet, planning... so much planning... sitting and watching, helpless, as your friends were taken away by the alley cats... His little paws twitched with fright until he woke up, amber eyes wide. Panting, Jemini circled on the root several times before curling up once again and trying to sleep. "Stupid dreams." He growled to himself as the darkness of sleep claimed him once again. Now came the pleasant dreams, full of Dustwhisker's kind gaze, helpful paws... The Black Rat fell deeper into sleep, so that if a wandering warrior were to find him, he wouldn't know until it was a bit too late... Unless the cat missed, of course. Then, he'd be lucky. And he wouldn't be on the menu quite yet.

[Dove]

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][bg=be6732] Dovekit sat in boredom watching the clan go about their day paying no attention to the small, scruffy, orphan kit sitting right in the middle of camp. She looks to the entrance calculating if anyone would notice this small scrap of fur discretely leaving camp. She gets up calmly walking over to the dirt place tunnel moving casually as if nothing were going on. Once outside of camp Dovekit sprints through the forest happy to be outside of camp. As she runs dodging around trees leaping over fallen logs she slows suddenly worried, “Crap. What if I can’t find my way back?” Dovekit stops looking back the way she had come, and then shrugs, “Hopefully someone will find me.” She wanders around then sees a large rat laying peacefully on a root. Lashing her tail she jumps landing square on the rat, of course Dovekit was too small to inflict any real damage other than a bruise. She stumbles and skids across slightly molding leaves on the forest floor. Looking back at the rat she realizes, “I’m way to small to do anything… Maybe The rat won’t kill me…” She shudders picturing being torn to pieces by a over zealous rat. She starts to pad closer to the rat pulling out her long, sharp claws. "You don't know what it's like to have your father wish you were dead." ~Dovekit

He paused, seeing the fluffy white kit staring at him. "Well, 'Ello, little...eh... how you say.... Kitten?" He had an accent when he spoke in Cat. Every animal had their own language, and Jemini knew every one of them. He was a very smart rat, indeed. His accent was rough and edgy, but gruff and still friendly. Flicking his long black tail, the Black Rat sighed. "Relax, young kitten. I'm not prey." He added, shifting his little white paws. "My name is Jemini, and I am a respectful rat that is not to be attempted to be dragged home." Sometimes his words could get confusing, because he was still working on learning everything in the Cat's language. His thin whiskers quivered slightly as he stepped off the root, circling Dovekit, inspecting the fluffy white kitten. "Shouldn't you be in camp?" He asked, tilting his nose slightly. "I think, from what Dustwhisker has told me, that kittens like you are not to be wandering outside of the camp, especially in this cold Winter." Jemini raised an eyebrow. "Perhaps we can wait here together until a warrior comes by? I'm not about to go traipsing in to a camp with a kitten. I'd be dead for sure." He grumbled, yawning and whipping his tail, sending snow flying. "But no more jumping on me, alright? And get that scared look off your face. I won't eat you or anything." Jemini smiled now, his gaze amused. "Come on, then. Get out of the snow and sit up here on the root. It's warmer." He shifted aside to make room for the little kit. Jemini Does Jemini Thinks "Jemini Speaks" OOC: Short post, sorry. But I don't have much muse right now. It's murdering itself in my brain. ^^
