[glow=yellow,2,300]Leopardpaw[/glow]Padding into camp the apprentice snorted in annoyance, every time he went to train with Easternsky she chided him for one thing or another, granted he was not the most hard working apprentice in the clan he did not have to be, right? He was the fastest apprentice, and hopefully someday would be the fastest cat in the clan if not in all the clans. If he was naturally gifted, why make him train? Snorting in annoyance he thought back to his last training session, he had done the move perfectly, leaping at the exact moment she had described, twisting and slashing his paw that would have knocked the soft tendon along the back of a cat's hind leg, but no it was not good enough for Easternsky. Nothing was. She needed the best apprentice in the clan and of course Breezestar had to give him to her, the cat that had found him wandering aimlessly as a kit. While he was grateful to her for finding him and taking him into the camp and the clan had always accepted him, but why a cat who knew him so well and wanted the best for him? Why not a mentor who was fine with him practicing on his own and still becoming one of the best cats int he clan.
Snorting in annoyance he dropped the three voles and rabbit he had caught, since Eastersky had sent him hunting because of his lack of enthusiasm for their training session. Realizing he had not dropped them onto the fresh kill pile, the long limed cat picked them back up, dropping them back onto the pile. Some cat would have scolded him if he had left it. He did not feel like cleaning the elders for a moon for being disrespectful. Sighing the tom plopped himself down outside the apprentice's den, beginning to groom himself. One thing the cat prided himself on was his odd coat, within the clan he was one of the few with a spotted coat, and the only with such a golden hue and black as night spots, with the eye makeup coming to highlight his amber eyes and black tail with golden rings. At least he was different in that sense, if not in his clear dislike of practicing or doing anything relating to being an apprentice.

it seemed like a good time to sleep. well it was always a good time to sleep for Dapplepaw, with no mentor and nothing to do sleep was all she could do. yawning, the silver princess strechted on in her nest. she rolled over on to her back with her tabby marked legs sprawled out. Staring up at the ceiling boredom seeked inside of her. if she didn't get a mentor soon she would just become a medcine cat and that was something that dapplepaw wasn't too sure on. flip flopping around, the apprentice sighted with nothing to do. within moments after her thoughts of becoming an medicine cat, Leopardpaw walked in the den. twitching her eyes dapplepaw kind of wanted to be alone, but also wanted
the company. Or maybe the company of someone else and not him. Hello, Leopardpaw. She purred, sitting up. Staring at the spotted male, with big blue eyes. Dapplepaw was stunning, with long silver fur with darker tabby markings running down her body and big blue eyes with silver in them. She really was a pretty cat, though dapplepaw thought differently of herself- but in time she would know differently. Purring towards the other cat, she smiled at him. So, how is it having a mentor? She said, curious of life outside the walls of the camp was like.

[glow=yellow,2,300]Leopardpaw[/glow]Flicking his gaze towards the pretty dappled apprentice he nodded a greeting, he was polite for the most part. Yawning the tom snorted in annoyance why had he not grabbed a piece of fresh-kill, the tom was hungry. No matter, he would eat later, feed the clan first the warrior code said. Although he understood the importance and appreciated the praise he received from his clanmates for feeding them he did not understand why the apprentices and warriors did not eat first, they were the ones doing the work. After thinking that he scorned himself, some Starclan cat was going to smite him now for his thoughts. Sorry Starclan, he thought silently.
Curling his tail around his paws he returned his attention to Dapplepaw listening to her questions with moderate interest, she was pretty, he gave her that. Her coat nearly rivaled his, or at least he liked to think of it that way. He was not a cat to flaunt his looks, but he was rather proud of them. That and his speed was all he had in this clan to make himself different, besides his birth parents. Rogues. At Dapplepaw's question he shrugged, "It's alright, not that great, Easternsky makes me train constantly, hunt, train, clean bedding, same routine every day," he muttered the last part in annoyance. Amber gaze looked to the apprentice, "Dappleshade will make you her apprentice, the clan knows that. It's just a big decision," he said hoping that sounded encouraging, he was not exactly great at those things.

Dapplepaw heard the male cat snort, and it made her feel uneasy. Her ears folded over to her crown, as her silver pelt prickled with nervousness, she twitched looking around. whats wrong? she asked, her voice shaky as dapplepaw felt he was snorting at her. Then he commented on her question, and this calmed her slightly. But its better sitting around here all day! And she just wants you to be a good warrior, that's all, Leopardpaw. She purred, rubbing her body up against his spotted on his affection. She liked the oddly coated male, yet she wasn't sure of her
feelings. She had something building inside of her, something she couldn't name. Gulping, as she moved away from him. As his amber graze moved to her, Dapplepaw blushed and her sight shot straight to her paws. She sat there blushing . Then he started to speak again, and her head picked up as she blue eyes stared at Leopardpaw. Thats the problem, I don't know what I want to do... She trailed off, Dapplepaw voice was soft and unsure of her answer. Then she started to think. I want to be an warrior. She purred, finding an answer to her confusing question. I think that will be best for me, She added quickly, with a smile on her soft silvery coat.
Then the silences took her back, back a time where things were okay and that heavy filling of saddness wasn't over her. Blinking, the thoughts ran to her dead parents. Oh how she missed them so much, how she wished they were back in the camp, back to comfort her when Dapplepaw needed someone to go to. She gave a heavy, depressing sigh as her eyes started to water. Biting her lip, she tired to force herself not to cry and to hold her feelings in and deal with the pain later when the spotted tom wasn't around but it was hard for her to hide how she felt. just by looking at her you could tell she was about to shed some tears. Quivering her lips, Dapplepaw sat there quietly, not knowing what to do.

The apprentice had been sitting quietly listening to Dapplepaw speak, keeping rather quiet for a time. As she shifted, rubbing her body against his, he froze, a shiver running down his spine. Were they at a stage where they showed emotions like this? A mild panic coursed through his body, his ears grew hot in embarrassment. What was he to do? He did like her, he knew that, and clearly she liked him, but they were both young, they were both still apprentices. They had other things to concentrate on, right? Swallowing hard he looked over at her, not wanting to hurt her feelings, but too embarrassed to admit his own. Looking around he was rather thankful they were alone, most of the other apprentices were rather busy and the warriors were going about their duties.
Looking over to her the spotted apprentice, he was rather excited she had decided on becoming a warrior, it would make things much easier for them to be together. "I am glad you have decided to become a warrior, hopefully we can train together," he said trying to keep a light spin on things. He remained silent for a moment, trying to find the right words for everything, afraid to say anything offensive. His mouth opened, wishing words to come out, yet nothing seemed to manifest itself. Swallowing hard again, "I hope our training goes by quickly, I could only wish my warrior ceremony was the next sun-high,"he said grinning, hoping this would strike up a conversation, "I hope my warrior name is something great, heroic like.. like... Leopardfire, or Leopardstalker, What about you?"Leopardpaw asked hoping to get more personal information out of her.
As she began to shake, with what appeared to be sorrow he looked almost horrified, but at himself. He was not good with dealing with emotions like this. "I am sorry Dapplepaw, if I said something, I am not very good at these things. You know, um, I can leave if you wish,"he said silently hoping to be released, but at the sametime wanting to ensure she was alright and comfortable. Why did this have to happen to him? If only he were better at these things, how were the warriors so good at this, or any other cats? There was a reason he was not a medicine cat, he was uncomfortable near emotions like this.

A smile rosed on Dapplepaw's face as the thought of training together came together in a picture in her head. Yes, that would be really nice. Dapplepaw purred, her mind drifting away from her dead parents. A purr came from her jaws, as she came close to the spotted male, rubbing her body up against his. Leopardpaw... She said softly in his ear, a flirty sound she added to his name. You'll be the best warrior that Ashclan will ever see. And me? Well, I really want to be a queen. She purred as she looked at him with deep blue eyes, shining in the light, as her eyes laughed with fire inside of them. Getting up, Dapplepaw placed her paws on the ground and her rump up in the air, with a quick moment she leaped
on Leopardpaw. Giggling, she rolled off of him, and landed on her paw. Her legs up and open, sprawled up and touching starclan. A happy smile covered her face, as she rolled around in the dirt. Everything she was trying to do was to get his attention that she liked him and to keep her mind off her parents. Well, this will be fun. Thought, Dapplepaw, laying in the dirt, as she stared at Leopardpaw.
